Dr. Zackary Cowan is a family medicine physician at Intermountain Health’s Manti Family Clinic in Manti, Utah. He supports patients throughout Sanpete County, treating sports injuries, obesity, chronic conditions of the heart and lungs, and providing pap smears, newborn circumcisions, and more. He's passionate about helping individuals and families to live their healthiest lives possible – enabling them to do what they enjoy most and to spend time with the people they love most.
Dr. Cowan cares for patients of all ages with all conditions. He is especially interested in sports and musculoskeletal conditions, lifestyle and preventive medicine including weight management, mental health conditions, and chronic and acute illnesses.
Growing up in northern Utah County, he and his brothers enjoyed playing sports, snowboarding, camping, hunting, fishing, dirt biking, hiking, and mountain biking. After high school, Dr. Cowan embarked on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to Detroit, Michigan. Upon returning, he began his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, where he also played on the men’s soccer team, met the love of his life, and graduated with a degree in neuroscience.

Dr. Cowan is wonderful! He listened closely to my specific needs and suggested exactly what I needed to get the outcome that I wanted. I'm not a huge fan of taking lots of pharmaceuticals, especially ones that might be habit forming. I specifically want to treat the underlying condition and not mask symptoms. Through our discussions and with his incredible understanding of the conditions and the drugs in question we were able to find the best solution and I'm feeling better than I have in a long time with very minimal intervention!
