Zachary Rivera, PA

Zachary Rivera is a certified physician assistant (PA-C), specializing in cardiothoracic surgery at Intermountain Health’s Intermountain Medical’s Heart and Lung Clinic in Murray, Utah. He supports patients in Murray, Taylorsville, Holladay, Millcreek, Cottonwood Heights, and surrounding communities assisting in performing procedures, managing post-operative care, and more. He especially enjoys cases that offer meaningful help, allowing the individual to return to a life of comfort and good health.

Since Zach was 14 years old, following his father's sudden heart attack and triple bypass procedure, he has always been fascinated with human anatomy and surgery throughout his education. He worked as a medical assistant in spine and pain management for two and a half years prior to PA school which involved management of acute and chronic issues of the spine, major joints, and other general pain syndromes.

As a caregiver, Zach is committed to listening, discussing, and providing ways that ensure every individual can happily and healthily live their best life. He strives to consistently find ways where he can collaborate with patients, resulting in finding ways to provide patients with the means and information necessary to aid them in living the happiest and healthiest life.

Outside the clinic, the Queen Creek, Arizona native spends time with his family and friends. He enjoys playing basketball and journeying outdoors via hiking, camping, or capturing landscape photography through his camera or drone.
