Zachary L. Shepherd, NP

Zachary Lee Shepherd is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) at Intermountain Health’s Psychiatry & Counseling clinic in St. George. He provides compassionate care to individuals in St. George and surrounding communities, treating a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, insomnia, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. Zach focuses on helping each patient feel more like themselves through a combination of medication management and lifestyle changes.

A native of St. George, Zach is deeply connected to the community he serves. He believes in a personalized, holistic approach to mental health, grounded in empathy and collaboration. His goal is to support individuals on their journey to wellness by tailoring care to their unique needs and experiences.

Zach earned his BSN from Dixie State University and completed his PMHNP training at Vanderbilt University. He is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and speaks both English and Spanish, allowing him to connect with a diverse patient population.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children. He finds joy in golfing, horseback riding, and staying active through regular exercise.
