Will B. Novey, MD

Will Novey, MD, is a psychiatrist at Intermountain Health’s Behavioral Health Access Center at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He cares for patients in Salt Lake City, North Salt Lake, and nearby communities, supporting people through some of life’s most challenging moments.

Dr. Novey has special interests in addiction care, psychiatric emergency services, severe and long‑term mental illness, and interventional psychiatry. He believes care works best when it’s collaborative and respectful. His approach is guided by the idea that each person is the expert on their own life, and that lasting change happens when patients feel heard, understood, and supported.

He earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Originally from Oakland, California, Dr. Novey enjoys hiking and playing the guitar outside of work—activities that help him recharge and stay grounded.
