About The Provider
Wayne Pollak, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist at Intermountain Health Heart & Vascular – West Park Cardiology in Grand Junction, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of both common and complex cardiovascular conditions. His clinical expertise includes coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, and heart failure. He has a particular interest in preventive cardiology and using advanced cardiac imaging to guide accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plans.
Dr. Pollak earned his medical degree from the University of Florida, followed by a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, and comprehensive echocardiography.
For the past 20 years, Dr. Pollak has practiced in South Florida and is honored to now join the cardiology team at Intermountain Health. He remains inspired by the constantly evolving field of cardiology, fueled by ongoing research, technological advancements, and new therapeutic options.
Known for his clear communication and patient-centered approach, Dr. Pollak focuses on educating his patients and their families, making complex medical information easy to understand, and encouraging them to actively participate in their heart health. He advocates for a holistic approach that includes lifestyle changes, dietary improvements, and evidence-based treatments to improve both health and quality of life.
Outside of work, Dr. Pollak and his wife, who is a urogynecologist, enjoy spending time outdoors. They are particularly excited to explore Colorado’s Western Slope.
