Walter K. Townson, MD

Dr. Walter Townson is an experienced OB/GYN physician at Intermountain Health's Summit OB/GYN in Orem, where he provides comprehensive care to patients in Orem and the surrounding areas. His expertise includes general obstetric assessments, management of pregnancy-related medical conditions, labor and delivery care, general gynecologic evaluations, treatment of benign conditions, routine screenings, contraceptive management, as well as both non-surgical and surgical interventions.

Dr. Townson served as a clinical attendant at the University of Utah in Obstetrics and Gynecology for 28 years, where he held both clinical and leadership positions. In addition to his civilian medical career, he has 19 years of military service and currently serves as a Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard.
