Virginia Horan, PA

Virginia Horan is a physician assistant (PA), specializing in pediatric cardiothoracic surgery at Intermountain Health’s Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She supports pediatric patients and their families throughout northern Utah, collaborating with surgeons to manage complex heart and chest conditions in children. Cases she enjoys working on include arterial switch operations, heart transplants, and bidirectional Glenn anastomosis (BDG).

Virginia is deeply committed to providing her patients with the same level of care, compassion, and respect that she would extend to her own family members. She believes in continuous learning, actively seeking out new medical techniques and advancements in pediatric cardiothoracic surgery to ensure her patients receive the most current and effective treatments available. She genuinely loves her profession and takes pride in making a positive difference in the lives of young patients.

Outside the clinic, the Connecticut native enjoys hiking, traveling and rock climbing. She shares her home with her boyfriend and their two dogs, Diego and Sherry.
