Vinesh Kumar, MD

Vinesh Kumar, MD, is a hospital physician at Intermountain Medical Center, caring for patients already admitted to the hospital. Dr. Kumar is dedicated to providing equitable, patient-centered care, and is fluent in English, Urdu and Sindhi.

Dr. Kumar believes that informed patients are partners in their own healing. He takes the time to listen to each patient's unique story and ensures they not only receive the best possible treatment but also understand it. His clinical interests include complex pathophysiology, health equity, and patient education.

Dr. Kumar is especially drawn to cases that involve complex, multi-system challenges. He finds deep satisfaction in applying critical thinking and clinical reasoning to reach meaningful diagnoses and develop thoughtful management plans for his patients.

Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Kumar enjoys spending his time outside of work hiking in the woods, reading, and exploring world philosophies and religions.
