About Victoria A Vardell

About The Provider

Victoria Vardell, MD is a hematology and oncology physician at Intermountain Health’s LDS Hospital Blood & Marrow Transplant Clinic and Medical Oncology Clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah. She supports patients in Salt Lake City, North Salt Lake, Bountiful, Sugar House, and surrounding communities treating the full spectrum of hematology, ranging from benign classical hematology to myeloid malignancies, myeloproliferative neoplasms, myelodysplastic syndromes, and bone marrow failure syndromes. She has a particular interest in acute leukemias, especially acute lymphoblastic leukemia in adults, and the role of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Even with expertise in treating a wide range of conditions, Dr. Vardell is especially drawn to caring for patients with acute leukemias and other complex, high-acuity conditions. These cases often require fast, thoughtful decision-making and close collaboration with patients and their families, which she finds deeply meaningful. She values the opportunity to be fully present during some of the most critical moments in a person’s care and to help guide them through both the challenges and the possibilities of treatment.

With roots in Idaho, Wyoming, and now Utah, Dr. Vardell feels a deep connection to the Mountain West and its people. She is dedicated to bringing highly specialized hematology care to patients across the region, particularly those from rural areas who often face the greatest barriers to access.

Dr. Vardell was born in New Mexico, spent a part of her childhood on Vashon Island in Washington, and grew up in Sandpoint, Idaho. Outside the clinic she enjoys mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and spending time with her two pugs.
