Vanessa Garrison, NP

Vanessa Garrison, APRN, FNP-BC, DNP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in medical oncology at Intermountain Health's Cancer Center in Murray, Utah. She supports patients across the Salt Lake Valley, dedicated to providing expert, evidence-based care with a compassionate and holistic touch. Her clinical interests include the management of oncologic emergencies, treatment side effects, supportive care and pain management, and patient advocacy and health literacy. She finds the greatest fulfillment in moments where she can make an immediate impact—whether that's quickly stabilizing a patient experiencing an oncologic emergency or sitting down with a patient and their family to walk through a treatment plan, offering clarity and easing anxiety along the way.

As a provider, Vanessa's philosophy of care is to provide expert, evidence-based intervention with a compassionate and holistic touch. She strives to make every patient feel informed, heard, and empowered throughout their journey. She values each patient as an individual and is deeply committed to their quality of life. She enjoys taking the time to explain complex topics so patients feel empowered and confident as experts in their own care.

Originally from Florida, Vanessa recently moved to Utah with her fiancé, where they're embracing the outdoors—hiking, running (currently training for a half-marathon), and learning to snowboard. She also loves yoga, meditation, and baking sourdough and other treats from scratch.
