Tomoki Sempokuya, MD, is a transplant hepatologist fluent in English and Japanese at Intermountain Health’s Hepatology and Liver Transplant Clinic in Murray, Utah. He supports patients throughout the Salt Lake Valley, with clinical interests in transplant hepatology (liver transplants), and gastroenterology. He enjoys working in liver transplant because it combines complex surgical care with meaningful, life-saving outcomes. The opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team restoring hope and health to patients with end-stage liver disease is incredibly rewarding to him. Each case challenges him to grow professionally while making a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Originally from Japan, Dr. Sempokuya enjoys hiking, cooking, and traveling when he’s outside the clinic.
