Thomas A. Nilsen, PT

Thomas Nilsen is a physical therapist practicing orthopedic rehabilitation and wound care at Intermountain Health’s Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation at Cassia Hospital in Burley, Idaho. He supports patients in communities around southeastern Idaho, helping patients who have a diversity of health-related issues regain mobility and functionality.

Tom first became interested in physical therapy because his father was a physician and always enjoyed sports growing up. Physical therapy was a good mix between those two interests, and it has helped Tom feel fulfilled in his career. He enjoys meeting those around the community, as it solidifies for him what a great place this is to live.  

Tom attended Brigham Young University and enjoys cheering on the Cougars any chance he can get. Having attended Duke University for PT school he enjoys basketball season even more due to the great success of the Blue Devil basketball teams.
