Tami H. Garmany, MD

Dr. Tami Garmany is originally from Hampton, Virginia. She earned both her bachelor's degree in biology and her medical degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. Following medical school, she moved to St. Louis, Missouri, to complete a pediatric residency, and then a neonatology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis/St. Louis Children?s Hospital.

Dr. Garmany always loved science as well as children and wanted to have a career where she could both challenge herself to keep learning and help children and their families.

?We are well aware in the newborn intensive care unit that no family anticipates the NICU as part of their birth plan. We strive to keep parents actively involved in their babies? care while their newborn is maturing and healing.?

When she is not at work, Dr. Garmany enjoys road and mountain biking, downhill skiing, running and just spending time outside with her husband and two boys.
