About Taffa Tekarli, PharmD

About The Provider

Dr. Taffa Tekarli is a clinical pharmacist who specializes in helping patients navigate chronic conditions with confidence and clarity. He is board certified in pharmacotherapy, advanced diabetes management, and diabetes education, and works closely with patients to create treatment plans that feel both effective and practical.

Dr. Tekarli has a particular passion for supporting people living with diabetes — whether they’re newly diagnosed, managing diabetes during pregnancy, or looking to better use tools like insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors. He enjoys getting to know each patient, understanding their goals, and helping them find approaches that truly fit their day‑to‑day life.

His philosophy of care is simple: patients deserve to feel heard, supported, and empowered. Dr. Tekarli takes time to explain medication options, answer questions, and partner with his patients so they can make informed decisions about their health.

Dr. Tekarli completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2021 and went on to a two‑year pharmacotherapy residency with Idaho State University’s Department of Family Medicine and Pharmacy Practice. His clinical interests include type 1 and type 2 diabetes, diabetes in pregnancy, insulin pump therapy, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease.

Originally from Sandy, Utah, Dr. Tekarli enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing basketball, hosting game nights with friends, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
