Taechin Yu, MD

Dr. Taechin Yu brought 24 years of practice experience focused on obstetrics and gynecology to his position with Intermountain Health.

Growing up as an immigrant in Hempstead, Long Island, Dr. Yu’s family had no health insurance, which inspired him to pursue a career in medicine to bring more equity to the healthcare system. He admires Intermountain Health’s acceptance of alternative care models that benefit a wide range of patients. 

His background includes both private practice and working for numerous clinics in the field of women’s health. He has applied his strategic skills to improving operating efficiency for several healthcare organizations.

Dr. Yu earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College and completed his residency at New York Methodist Hospital. During this time, he received a faculty award for excellence in teaching obstetrics and gynecology residents. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Management. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
