Summer Macey, NP

Summer Macey, NP is a Hematology/Oncology nurse practitioner at Intermountain Health’s Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Clinic in Murray, Utah. She supports patients throughout the Salt Lake Valley, providing autologous and allogeneic transplants, CAR-T therapy, bispecific antibodies for treatment of blood cancers, and more. What she enjoys most about her job is the blend of complexity, connection, and continuity. She feels privileged to walk with them into something hopeful when it’s hardest, and when they feel most vulnerable.

Summer’s philosophy of care is grounded in compassion, vigilance, and partnership. She believes in treating each patient as a whole person—not just as a diagnosis or a transplant protocol. BMT is a uniquely intense and personal journey, and her role is to be a consistent, informed, and empathetic presence throughout that path. She is detail-oriented, and stays current with evidence-based guidelines, while collaborating closely with the transplant team to provide the most comprehensive care possible. But beyond the clinical, patients can expect from Summer compassion, respect, and a commitment to walk alongside them through their entire transplant journey.

Summer is originally from Ontario, Canada, but has lived in many placed included Tokyo, New York City, Los Angeles, Tucson, and Phoenix. Outside the clinic she enjoys weight-lifting, skiing, hiking, reading, off-roading, traveling, and landscape photography.
