Steven Wallenfels, OT

Steven Wallenfels is an Occupational Therapist and an Advanced Rehabilitation Clinician at Intermountain Health. Most of his career has been spent in Neurologic Rehabilitation working with patients at the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at St. George Regional Hospital. Steven has a particular interest in stroke and spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and he is studying the link between patient engagement and clinical outcomes.

Steven has presented at local and national conferences on High Intensity Training and efforts to implement that as best practice at the St. George Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. His efforts are focused on implementation of evidenced best practice and on driving forward an interdisciplinary culture that facilitates patient engagement and patient ownership of the rehabilitation process.

Steven enjoys exploring the Southwest through a variety of modalities, including climbing, running, biking, hiking, canyoneering, river rafting, and kayaking.
