About Steven J. Griffin
About The Provider
Born and raised in northern Virginia, Dr. Griffin attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University for his undergraduate studies. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine-Seton Hill Campus. Dr. Griffin completed his residency in pediatrics and served as the Chief Resident at Carilion Children’s Hospital, Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia. During his time as a hospitalist, Dr. Griffin’s clinical interests expanded to include childhood obesity, chronic disease management, newborn nursery care and neonatal resuscitation.
“I believe pediatrics means helping guide and protect young people through their formative years so they can become healthy and well-adjusted adults.”
When not working, Dr. Griffin enjoys hunting and fishing, martial arts, hiking with his wife and dogs, playing video games and reading sci-fi and fantasy novels. Dr. Griffin as always felt a strong urge to serve his community, prior to his career in medicine he was a firefighter.

I can’t express enough how grateful to have Dr.Griffin as my kids pediatrician he devotes all his time into proper care for them and there overall health and well being, I can’t thank him enough as a first time mom that didn’t know if vaccinations were a good purpose for my kiddos but after sitting down with him and taking the time to learn from him the importance of vaccinations and why we give them, he settled me down and gave me the satisfaction that I was looking for, I am protecting my kids which is all a mom wants to do for her babies! 10/10 recommend Dr.Griffin for your child’s care and needs and questions that you want answers too.
