Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Olsen grew up in Billings, Montana. He attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana for his undergraduate studies before moving to Seattle, Washington and earning his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Washington. Dr. Olsen continued his studies with a General Surgery Internship, a Master of Public Health – Environmental Health Sciences and a residency in Occupational Medicine at the University of Washington. For the last 15 years, Dr. Olsen has been practicing in San Diego, California. His clinical interests include musculoskeletal disorders, environmental exposures and hyperbaric medicine.

When not working, Dr. Olsen enjoys alpine skiing, biking, jiu-jitsu and spending time with his wife and son in the great outdoors.
