Spencer Christensen, DPT

Spencer Christensen, DPT, CHT, is a Certified Hand Therapist who specializes in rehabilitation of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand at Intermountain Health's American Fork Specialty Clinic, and Heber Valley Physical Therapy.. He enjoys helping patients recover from injury, restore function, and return to the activities that matter most to them. His clinical interests include treating wrist and finger fractures, rotator cuff repairs, tendon injuries of the hand, tennis elbow, and hand wounds.

After earning a bachelor's degree in psychology and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, Spencer completed a clinical mentorship in hand therapy at Hand & Ortho Physical Therapy and went on to become a Certified Hand Therapist. He uses a variety of treatment techniques, including dry needling, custom splinting, Graston technique, strain-counterstrain, and spinal manipulation to support each patient's recovery.

Spencer believes rehabilitation should be both effective and engaging. One of his favorite sayings is, "We have to have at least one laugh per session." He strives to create a positive environment where patients feel comfortable, supported, and empowered throughout their recovery journey.

Originally from Las Vegas, Spencer enjoys building relationships with his patients and helping them understand their condition and treatment plan. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, weightlifting, backpacking, traveling, playing volleyball and pickleball, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
