About Shay Schwab

About The Provider

My name is Shay Schwab Dalebout. I am a speech-language pathologist at the Cedar City clinic. I received my bachelor's and master's degrees in communication disorders and speech-language pathology from Utah State University. I am currently working as a speech-language pathologist and see patients at all stages of life. My current focus and the majority of my caseload is feeding patients (bottle/breastfeeding, transitioning to solids).

During my time at Utah State University, I completed student internships at Spectrum Academy, the University of Utah at the inpatient level with a focus on TBI patients, and St. George Regional Hospital. Following my internship at St. George Regional Hospital, I was offered a position at Cedar City, working at the hospital and outpatient levels. I have been in Cedar City for approximately four years and absolutely love my job. I love seeing my patients improve and reach goals that they did not think were previously possible.

Something a potential patient should know about me is that I care for my patients as if they were my family, and I will do my absolute best to help them reach their goals. I am originally from Star Valley, Wyoming, but moved to Cedar City after completing my bachelor's and master's degrees in communication disorders from Utah State University. I met my husband at work, and he is the Peds OT at our clinic. We love being able to work with some of the same kids. We live in Cedar City with our son, Henry, and our puppy. We enjoy hiking, running, and anything outdoors.
