Shawn G Mecham, DO

Shawn Mecham, DO, is a board-certified internal medicine physician and hospitalist at St. George Regional Hospital. He is dedicated to delivering high-quality inpatient care, helping patients navigate complex medical conditions during some of their most vulnerable moments and ensuring they receive compassionate, evidence-based treatment.

Originally from Mesa, Arizona, Dr. Mecham developed a passion for medicine driven by a desire to serve others and make a meaningful difference in their lives. As a hospitalist, he works closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans, promote recovery, and support a seamless transition from hospital to home.

Dr. Mecham earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2013. He completed an internal medicine residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2016. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Mecham enjoys scuba diving, exploring new destinations, and what he calls "professional vacationing." He also values spending time with family and friends and taking advantage of opportunities to discover new adventures around the world.
