Sharon Ernst, RD

Sharon L. Ernst, MPH, RD, FAND brings over 30 years of experience with a strong background in clinical nutrition and patient care, with a focus on practical and compassionate care with a patient-centered approach. She held academic roles at the University of Utah, School of Medicine, and the College of Health and is the founder and owner of Nutritional Designs, LLC, where she provides strategic leadership, education, and consulting to organizations and individuals, with an emphasis on genetic and metabolic disorders, and nutrition throughout the lifespan.

An active leader in her field, Sharon Ernst has a passion for working with non-profit organizations and was a founding member of Genetic Metabolic Dietitians International (GMDI) and the Intermountain PKU and Allied Disorders parent group. Sharon Ernst feels her role as a clinical dietitian is to provide personalized, evidence-based nutrition care to her patients to achieve the best outcomes.
