Shannon Ranney, MD

Shannon Ranney, MD, is an OB/GYN at Intermountain Health's Jerry & Kathleen Grundhofer Clinic - OB/GYN in Park City, Utah, who cares for women across every stage of life. While she enjoys all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology, she has a special interest in infertility, uterine fibroids, and vulvar dystrophies. Dr. Ranney especially enjoys performing open and robotic hysterectomies — cases that are often technically challenging and allow her to put her surgical skills to work. More importantly, these procedures are typically performed to relieve bothersome, persistent symptoms, and she finds it rewarding to see patients experience quick relief.

Dr. Ranney values connection, curiosity, and teamwork, both in and outside of medicine. Originally from The Colony, Texas, Dr. Ranney enjoys reading — especially fantasy and science fiction — and spending time with her husband, two daughters, two English bulldogs, and cat. She also loves being outdoors, whether hiking, boating, or visiting national parks.
