Shaheer Zulfiqar, MD

Shaheer Zulfiqar, MD, is a triple board-certified interventional cardiologist serving patients in Brighton, Colorado. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE). While he enjoys the technical challenges of complex coronary interventions, Dr. Zulfiqar finds the greatest fulfillment in cases that lead to meaningful, lasting improvements in his patients' lives.

His care philosophy centers on compassion, communication, and clinical excellence, with a strong focus on improving both short- and long-term outcomes. He believes in listening closely, educating patients about their condition, and working collaboratively to make informed treatment decisions.

Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Zulfiqar completed his internal medicine residency at Michigan State University, where he served as Chief Resident, and went on to complete dual fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Cincinnati.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Zulfiqar enjoys hiking, reading, and exploring small towns—activities that help him recharge and connect with the beauty and diversity of the local community.
