Originally from India, Selvi moved to the United States in 2000. She earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. She continued her education with a Master of Science in Nursing from Rhode Island College in Providence and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Selvi has worked in healthcare for more than 15 years and has an interest in patient education and safety.
“I have a strong passion for working with patients who are undergoing bariatric surgery. I love to be part of their success and the hard work that each patient puts in before and after surgery. I find it inspiring to be part of the process where patients end up in a much better place clinically, emotionally, and physically after bariatric surgery.”
Married for more than 25 years, Selvi enjoys spending time with her family (they have two children), cooking, reading and yoga/meditation.
