Sean P. McCandless, MD

Sean McCandless, MD is a cardiologist at Intermountain Health’s Cardiology Clinic at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He supports patients in Weber County, northern Davis County, Box Elder County, and surrounding communities providing cardiac risk assessments, treating hypertension, hyperlipidemia, arrhythmia, and more.

Dr. McCandless is passionate about providing the highest value care with a focus on selecting the most appropriate diagnostic cardiac test for each patient. He focuses on cardiovascular disease prevention and the management of a variety of cardiovascular conditions. 

While the majority of his training was completed at the University of Utah, he recently completed his fellowship in cardiology at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He has happily returned to Utah to join the cardiology group at McKay-Dee. 

Outside the clinic, the Utah native loves spending time outdoors, especially skiing, camping, and fishing. However, for now he would rather be with his wife and their two very young daughters.
