About The Provider
Scott Tingey, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician at Intermountain Health's Saratoga Springs Clinic in Saratoga Springs, Utah. He supports patients in Saratoga Springs, Lehi, Eagle Mountain, and surrounding communities finding great reward in treating cases where patients experience real improvement in their health or meaningful relief. He has a special interest in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity, as well as supporting mental health, sports medicine and musculoskeletal injuries, preventive care, women's health, pediatrics, and opioid use disorder. From annual physicals to everyday acute illnesses, he partners with patients to help them reach their best possible health.
In addition to chronic disease management, depression and anxiety care, and treatment for musculoskeletal concerns, Dr. Tingey performs a range of in-office procedures, including joint injections (knees and shoulders), contraceptive implant placement and removal (Nexplanon/IUDs), skin procedures such as laceration repair, cryotherapy, and biopsies, abscess incision and drainage, toenail removal, and Pap smears.
As a provider, Dr. Tingey believes that great healthcare is built on relationships and teamwork. Guided by the philosophy, "Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved," Scott is dedicated to caring for each patient as a whole person—not just a diagnosis.
Dr. Tingey views healthcare as a team effort—one that includes physicians, patients, nurses, medical assistants, care management, and many other dedicated professionals, each playing a vital role. Building relationships is his favorite part of practicing medicine and was a large draw for him to family medicine. He looks forward to getting to know you and participating in your care and overall wellbeing.
A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Tingey treasures time with his wife and their three children, family, and friends. He enjoys playing and watching a variety of sports—including basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, and golf—and loves spending time outdoors boating, waterskiing, fishing, camping.

When I had an opinion about how a prescription did or didn't work for me, he took me seriously and offered other options, or allowed me to not take it if he felt it was okay for me to not to.

Dr. Tingey was awesome. He really listened to me as I explained my condition and never felt judgemental in the slightest. And he clearly laid out my potential next steps in treatment, his recommendations, and gave me a lot of agency and encouragement to choose what made me most comfortable.
