About The Provider

Sarah Rasmussen, PT, DPT, is a physical therapist specializing in pediatric sports orthopedics at Intermountain Health's Primary Children's Hospital in Lehi, Utah. Her clinical interests include sports injuries, return-to-sport rehabilitation, post-operative rehabilitation, pediatric orthopedic rehabilitation, and caring for cheer, dance, and gymnastics athletes. Drawing on her own experience as a collegiate cheerleader, she especially enjoys working with athletes in these sports.

Sarah treats sports injuries, scoliosis, concussion, and post-operative conditions, and works with patients on injury prevention. Her treatment approach includes manual therapy, therapeutic activity, therapeutic exercise, balance training, and gait training.

As a provider, Sarah considers movement a powerful tool in any patient's care. Her goal is to not only help patients feel better, but to help them move with greater confidence and return to the activities that are meaningful to them. She prioritizes building genuine relationships with her patients and their families, creating a space where it's comfortable to ask questions, work hard, and have fun. Each visit, she works as a team with her patients, setting goals together to track progress and get them back to the activities they love.

Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah. She is a licensed physical therapist.

Originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, Sarah enjoys hiking, snowboarding, running, baking, and traveling with her husband.
