About Sarah R. Wesselius
About The Provider
Sarah is originally from Dallas, Texas. She earned an undergraduate degree in Nursing from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. After working on a trauma intermediate care unit for one year, the specialty of oncology fell into Sarah’s lap and she has not looked back. While working as an infusion nurse for an oncology clinic in Austin, Texas, Sarah decided to obtain her family nurse practitioner degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Sarah’s clinical interests include adult and geriatric outpatient oncology/hematology, primary prevention cancer education, internal medicine and cancer research/clinical trials.
“Being a healthcare provider is not just a job to me, it's a deep love for providing care to someone and their loved ones during their worst and best times. I take every patient's individual situation into account and strive to listen to their concerns wholeheartedly. I believe in holistic care and understand physiological, psychological, emotional and spiritual well-being are of the utmost importance when caring for patients.”
When not seeing patients, Sarah enjoys anything outdoors (hiking, camping and snow sports), spending time with family, friends, and beloved animals, trying new foods, leisure reading and watching horror movies with her husband (and middle school sweetheart).
