Sarah M. Nelson, CNM

Sarah Nelson is a certified nurse midwife (CNM) at Intermountain Health’s Layton Parkway Clinic – Women’s Health in Layton, Utah. She supports patients in Layton, Kaysville, Syracuse, Clearfield, and surrounding communities providing a broad range of services for women throughout their lives, including primary care, gynecological exams, and family planning. Sarah has had the privilege of working with women all over the world, as she has lived in various places including China, London, Singapore, and Washington DC. 

Midwife by definition means "With Women".  As a midwife, Sarah tries to understand and protect the physiology of childbirth and the natural progression of development over a woman's lifetime. She is dedicated to providing education, safety and support to all women seeking midwifery care. With this education, she is passionate about helping women feel empowered as they make decisions about their body and their health. 

Outside the clinic, Sarah is married with three lovely children. They enjoy skiing and mountain biking together as a family and have loved being back in Utah. She also loves to read, hike, and train for triathlons.
