Sameer Mehta, MD, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating complex cardiovascular conditions. He is especially interested in complex coronary interventions, peripheral vascular disease interventions, limb salvage, cardiogenic shock management, and structural heart disease.
Dr. Mehta is also actively engaged in advancing cardiovascular treatments, staying at the forefront of innovation in cardiovascular care. His approach emphasizes precision, minimally invasive techniques, and individualized treatment planning to optimize patient outcomes.

He enjoys performing vascular interventions, particularly limb-saving procedures.
Dr. Mehta completed his medical training at Southern Illinois University, followed by a residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center, a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Mid America Heart Institute, and a cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. After his fellowships, Dr. Mehta completed a post-doctoral research fellowship with Donald W. Reynolds Cardiovascular Center.
Dr. Mehta is an avid tennis player who stays active on the courts, skiing and hiking in the mountains, and golfing.

I have been seeing Dr Sameer Mehta since 2016 and am so very thankful for excel I have been seeing Dr Sameer Mehta since 2016 when I was brought to emergency at St Anthony Hospital. I was having a heart attack and Dr Mehta was on call and proceeded to save my life. Needless to say I am forever grateful.
