Ruth E. Kingston, CNM

Ruth Kingston is a certified nurse midwife (CNM) at Intermountain Medical Center's Nurse Midwives, supporting patients across the Salt Lake Valley. She loves helping women through childbirth and finds great joy in teaching them how their amazing bodies work.

Ruth comes from a long line of midwives but was truly inspired to become one herself while working as a charge nurse in pediatrics and being exposed to the "birthing world." This experience gave her the burning desire to change courses. She then got her doula certificate and fell in love with supporting women through childbirth. From her excellence as a CNM, she received SelectHealth's NCQA Practice Award of Excellence in 2023. 

Ruth is married to her best friend, Joseph, and has 11 biological children, plus one bonus son. Her kids are her pride and joy and her biggest accomplishment in life. She loves spending time with her family and enjoys weekly movie/game nights, camping, and hiking. When she can find a few spare moments, she also enjoys canning, reading, scrapbooking, and treasure-hunting (aka thrift stores and garage/estate sales). Ruth loves ice cream, Little League sports, and Jesus.
