Meet Roger Hansen, a radiation oncologist passionate about helping patients understand there are treatment options when faced with cancer so his patients can feel there is still hope and life ahead for his patients. Helping patients get through those difficult moments and then out the other end with joy is what he lives for, and he feels so blessed to be a radiation oncologist.

Dr. Hansen is one of the first radiation oncologists in our area to use an absorbable hydrogel spacer to improve treatment outcomes for patients undergoing prostate cancer radiation therapy. This innovative technology temporarily creates space between the prostate and rectum, helping to minimize the rectum’s exposure to radiation delivered during treatment.
