About Robert E. Replogle
About The Provider
Dr. Replogle received his MD from the University of Chicago, where he graduated withHonors+AOA, and completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Virginia. He is theauthor/co-author of more than 60 peer-reviewed papers, abstracts, editorial reviews, and bookchapters. Dr. Replogle is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery(ABNS).
Dr. Replogle completed a combined fellowship in neuroendovascular and operativecerebrovascular surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern and served as faculty at thatinstitution for 7 years. He specializes in the operative and endovascular treatment ofcerebrovascular disease: stroke, AVMs, aneurysms, and dural AV fistulas. He has publishedextensively on these topics and has a large clinical experience in the clinical treatment of thesedisorders. He has taught numerous national courses at nation neurosurgical meetings over thepast 20 years, currently teaching the yearly cerebrovascular course at the AANS for residents.
Dr. Replogle also has over 18 years of experience in minimally invasive spine surgery andcurrently operates on over 300 patients per year. He has pioneered new techniques and is activein teaching minimally invasive spine surgical techniques at the national and international levels.Before joining St Mary’s Hospital, Dr. Robert E. Replogle served as a URMC AssistantProfessor of Neurosurgery and Imaging Sciences. At that institution he served as the director ofminimally invasive spine surgery as well as the co-director of the cerebrovascular/endovascularservice.
At St. Mary’s Hospital, he serves as the director of the surgical stroke service and specializes inthe treatment of stroke, aneurysms, and AVMs while still performing a wide variety of generalneurosurgical procedures, particularly minimally invasive spine surgery.
When he is not at work, Dr. Replogle enjoys mountain biking, hiking, practicing martial arts, andmost importantly, his family.
