About The Provider
Dr. Robert Woolley is a nephrologist at Intermountain Health's Utah Valley Kidney Services. He supports patients in Provo, Orem, and throughout Utah County, providing care for chronic kidney disease, hypertension prevention and treatment, acute kidney injury, and more. Caring about people is the foundation of Dr. Woolley's clinical approach, and he aims to build relationships with his patients and tailor care.
Dr. Woolley intends to provide high-quality medical care and advice in patient relationships. He believes they are partners in achieving their health goals, recognizing that every person and every situation is different. He was drawn to nephrology because it requires a deep understanding of physical, chemical, and biological processes and good problem-solving skills.
Dr. Woolley grew up in the Salt Lake Valley. Following graduation from the University of Utah, he was commissioned into the United States Air Force. Over 31 years, he served the country and continued to pursue his education and leadership goals, retiring in 2025 as a Colonel. He and his wife raised their family, living on air bases around the world. When all of their children chose to attend Brigham Young University and settle locally, they decided to return to Utah and join them. The two love to travel, spend time with their growing family, and enjoy the outdoors.
