About The Provider

Richard Lemons, MD, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine, medical director and chief of pediatric hematology/oncology at Primary Children's Medical Center and the University of Utah, and a Huntsman Cancer Institute investigator. He is involved in various clinical trials for pediatric malignancies and pediatric hematologic disorders.


Lemons earned a medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine, Washington, DC; and performed an internship and residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. Lemons was a staff member at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital prior to joining the University of Utah Department of Pediatrics. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
