Dr. Richard Swenson is a hip and knee orthopedic surgeon and Intermountain Health’s Utah Valley Orthopedics – Provo in Provo, Utah. He supports patients in Provo, Orem, Vineyard, Lindon, and surrounding communities, providing total joint replacement in the hip and knee so patients can regain their ability to live active lives.
Dr. Swenson aims to collaborate with patients to keep them active and out of pain. He believes this is best achieved when working along patients as a partnership to decide on treatments best suited for each person. As a caregiver, he has been involved in many leadership roles in his group, local hospital systems, and insurance panels. After several years practicing his craft in Arizona, he was excited to come home to Utah.
Outside the clinic, the Sandy, Utah native enjoys spending time with his wife and six kids. He enjoys outdoors, sports, home projects, and music.

certainly, highly skilled and knowledgeable. Care was very good. However, could have taken a bit of time to get to know me, it being the first time we met. If he would have known my medical/nursing back ground, it would have been a more productive talk.
