Ricardo Young, MD

Ricardo Young, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon at the Holy Rosary Hospital General Surgery Clinic, providing comprehensive surgical care focused on safety, precision, and patient-centered outcomes. He is committed to delivering effective, timely, and evidence-based surgical treatment to help patients achieve the best possible results.

Dr. Young’s clinical interests include laparoscopy and endoscopy, particularly as they relate to hernia repair and foregut surgery, including bariatric surgery. He enjoys using minimally invasive techniques whenever appropriate to help patients achieve faster recovery, less discomfort, and improved outcomes.

As a surgeon, Dr. Young describes himself as a safe and logical practitioner whose philosophy of care is to “deliver on-time and on-point effective and efficacious surgical care.” He believes in providing clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and individualized treatment plans so patients feel informed and confident throughout their surgical journey.

Before entering civilian practice, Dr. Young proudly served in the United States Army, ultimately attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His military service shaped his disciplined approach to medicine, leadership, and patient care.

Outside of work, Dr. Young enjoys landscaping and takes pride in creating and maintaining outdoor spaces. His attention to detail and dedication to craftsmanship carry over from his personal interests into the care he provides his patients every day.
