About The Provider
Dr. Rakesh Kalra grew up in Southern California. Growing up, he worked in a nursing home. It was this experience that inspired him to become a physician. Dr. Kalra earned his undergraduate degree in biology and his Doctor of Medicine from Windsor University School of Medicine. In 2011, he was the youngest graduating resident when he completed a family medicine residency at Flower Memorial Hospital. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Kalra joined Intermountain Health in 2011. He serves as the Medical Director for Intermountain Health Desert Region. Dr. Kalra believes in helping his patients reach their health goals and live healthier lives.

I think based upon my call with Doctor Kalra it was very easy to relate to his concerns and to get the results he and I needed to get to. It is not easy to know how to respond to some of the questions he asked. Such questions as his reading of the radiology reports on my shoulder and hip x-rays and the Mri's. This will take some time in getting used to.

Meeting with Dr. Kalra,MD. was a most pleasant experience because he was in no hurry to take care of my request. He listened to what I discussed with him, made his recommendations, and made sure that all my concerns were met before leaving. Very caring and interested in hearing my concerns. Great visit.
