About The Provider
Rachel Sussman, MSN, APRN, is a mental health provider with Intermountain Health in the Las Vegas area. She specializes in geriatric behavioral health and genuinely enjoys working with the senior population.
Her healthcare career began as a patient services volunteer at Lou Ruvo Cleveland Clinic. Rachel’s first job was in an assisted living facility’s memory care unit. She then diligently worked her way up as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Registered Nurse inside hospital-based geriatric psychiatric units, always putting the patient's needs first.
Rachel's commitment to professional growth is not just about personal advancement but about providing the best care possible. This dedication is evident in her educational journey. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nevada State College and a Master of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University. She is furthering her knowledge and skills by pursuing a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with Johns Hopkins University, a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence in healthcare.
She grew up in a small town of 3,500, where the idea of becoming a healthcare professional seemed distant. However, her family's move to the 'big city' of Columbia, Missouri, with a population of less than 80,000, opened her eyes to new possibilities. Her subsequent travels from London to Egypt, China, Greece, and many more diverse cultural centers further fueled her ambition. These small-town origins and international experiences drive her determination to become a first-generation college student and pursue her professional dreams of world-class caregiving.
When not working, Rachel’s happy place is being in nature. She enjoys boating on Lake Mead or hiking the local trails with her husband and their two dogs.
