About The Provider
Rachel Jenkins-Lloyd, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Intermountain Health's Cottonwood Psychiatry and Counseling in Murray, Utah. She supports patients in Murray, Midvale, Cottonwood Heights, Holladay, and surrounding communities. She especially enjoys working with patients who have a history of trauma, hoping to be a small part of their healing journey by collaborating with their therapist and offering thoughtful support and education around medication options.
Rachel offers medication management from a Feminist Empowerment Perspective and brings an extensive background in trauma-informed care, including EMDR and previous work in ketamine-assisted therapy. Her clinical interests include anxiety disorders, depression, PMDD, trauma and PTSD, sexual trauma, ADHD, bipolar disorder, dissociative disorders, gender-affirming care, grief and loss, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders, sleep issues and insomnia, social injustice, and social skills and communication.
As a provider, she believes in treating all people with dignity and respect. Her hope is to empower them by educating them about their medication options and then supporting them in their healthcare decisions.
Born in Utah and raised in Ohio and Michigan before returning home, Rachel loves reading—especially biographies—traveling, boating, waterskiing, going to concerts, and anything Wonder Woman. She cherishes time with her family, which includes her spouse, five children, and three dogs: Fergus, Murphy, and Finnegan.
