Peter F. Fitts, DPT

I am a physical therapist practicing orthopedics and specialize in Orthopedics, Post-operative Rehabilitation, Spine, Chronic Pain, and Concussion. Prior to finishing my doctorate in physical therapy, I was a professional freestyle skier and freestyle ski coach. During my time as a professional skier, I injured my knees several times requiring four surgeries in total. I subsequently had many experiences with physical therapists, which led me to have a natural interest in rehabilitation. I love working with others in evaluating their needs to develop a personalized care plan that gets them back to their desired activity levels, whatever they happen to be. I enjoy treating all patients from late adolescence to post retirement.

Outside of my practice, I enjoy being outdoors, specifically fly fishing one of the many rivers in Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming. I also play ice hockey regularly, typically three or more times per week. I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska hence the love for ice hockey, but moved to the Salt Lake Valley as a teenager and have been here ever since.
