Paula J. Barney, NP

Paula Barney, FNP-C is a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner at Intermountain Health’s Highland Clinic. She supports patients in Highland, Lehi, Alpine, American Fork and surrounding communities, providing health screenings, wellness exams, sports physicals, and medical expertise in various illnesses. Paula prioritizes active listening and patient education, ensuring that everyone receives personalized care based on the latest evidence-based guidelines. She is committed to improving the well-being of her patients and empowering them to make informed healthcare decisions.

Paula is excited to practice at Intermountain Highland Clinic because of its commitment to helping people live their healthiest lives possible. Inspired by her mother, who was a registered nurse in the American Fork Hospital Emergency Department, Paula developed a passion for healthcare early in life and knew she wanted to make a similar impact in her community.

Paula has a strong background in emergency nursing that has given her the skills to provide high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered care. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and has spent many years caring for patients of all ages with a wide range of health concerns and injuries.

Paula earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a master’s degree in Family Nurse Practice from Brigham Young University, where she was recognized as the Graduate Student of the Year by the College of Nursing.
