About The Provider
Family Nurse Practitioner Olivia Fernandez acknowledges that growing up in the Philippines made her appreciate the importance of good health. She witnessed how poverty and lack of access to healthcare impacts a person’s life. That’s when she knew she wanted to work in medicine.
After completing her bachelor's in nursing at Arellano University in Manila, Philippines, she moved to the US where Olivia pursued and achieved her Master of Science in Nursing from South University in Savannah, Georgia. Her concentration is gerontology or providing care for senior patients.
As a nurse practitioner, she retains the same enthusiasm and goal to help others, especially more mature patients. Olivia’s ability to speak English and Tagalog makes communicating important health information and treatment plans easier. Plus, her experience working in kidney care, ICU and cardiac care ensures she can deliver the highest level of care to patients as an Internal Medicine provider.
Olivia’s free time is spent with her family, which includes her husband and their three children. When they’re together they enjoy watching movies, shopping, reading and trying new foods.

Sent my prescription to a pharmacy I have never used. Must not of known how to read my chart. I have no new orders for the basic refills at the pharmacy I use. My request to look at the urinalysis on labs done end of March 26 that I hand deliver to them. She had assistan call Mr to say “ need new urinalysis because what I had was for drug testing only”: no doctor needs to drug test me, I Di NOT want to take any toxic drugs” I am 84 years old a 26 year cancer survivor who eats well, does daily exercise and drinks pure water. The urinalysis was complete on the lab results. So my feeling she was just pushing me through her day trying to cover for Dr. Singh. My mind is sound still working property management business at 84. I feel sorry fit the old folks being shuffled around like cattle.

I was the last patient of the day so I felt a bit rushed. When you have a list of things to ask , I didn’t feel I could ask the other two questions. I was also a new patient to her. When you look at your list hoping to ask the next ?, and she asks what else do you have in a rushed tone of voice, you differently feel like she’s more concerned about getting out the door then caring for your needs. She’s probably been over worked with only one other person. I’m told two doctors left & one comes in on Friday.
