Nicole Baer, NP

Nicole "Nikki" Baer, DNP, APRN, NNP-BC, is a neonatal nurse practitioner at Intermountain Health's Utah Valley Neonatology in Provo, Utah. She cares for newborns across the full spectrum of acuity from clinically complex micro preemies requiring highly specialized care to stable premature infants preparing for discharge. Nikki especially enjoys the critical thinking involved in neonatal care and the opportunity to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Her clinical interests include neonatal developmental care, neonatal neurodevelopment, neonatal respiratory disease management, neonatal infectious diseases, genomics and genetics, and maternal/newborn global health.

Nikki wants families to know that she will always be an advocate for their baby and provide compassionate, up-to-date care. She understands that having a baby in the NICU can feel overwhelming, and she believes families are an essential part of their baby's journey. She listens, offers support, and partners with parents to give their baby the best possible care.

Nikki's philosophy of care is centered on compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based care for every infant and family. She values collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and families to understand each patient's unique needs and provide individualized care. She strives to create a safe, supportive environment while working together to achieve the best possible outcomes.

A Utah native, Nikki enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to music, reading, traveling, and being with her family.
