Nicole Apel, CNM

Nicole Apel, CNM, is a certified nurse midwife at Intermountain Health Birth Center of Denver, passionate about supporting individuals and families throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Fluent in English and German, she is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care that helps patients feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their health care journey.

Nicole enjoys working in midwifery and has a special interest in supporting physiological birth, water birth, and low-intervention approaches to maternity care. She values shared decision-making and believes that building a trusting healthcare relationship is essential to helping each patient achieve their individual goals and needs. Her approach emphasizes listening, education, and collaboration, ensuring patients are active partners in their care.

Nicole finds great fulfillment in helping individuals achieve their healthcare goals and in creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and confident in their decisions. She strives to provide care that is both evidence-based and tailored to each person's unique needs.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and biking, practicing yoga, sharing meals with friends, and making memories with family. She also enjoys seeking out new experiences and embracing a little adventure whenever she can.
