My visit with Dr. Mangelson left me feeling brushed off. The doctor did not take my concerns seriously and made little effort to understand the nature of my pain. The interaction felt rushed and impersonal, and I was left without a clear plan or support. Instead of offering any meaningful guidance or next steps, he essentially told me to just deal with the pain. I left feeling unheard, invalidated, and deeply frustrated.

This was the first time I had seen Dr. Mangelson in almost 15 years. We both agreed, as pleasant as our interactions have been, that it would be nice if I didn't have to see him again for some time.

He may have missed the class at med school on warm and fuzzy bedside manner. His style is brusque and direct. It would be nice to at least say "hello" and greet the patient by name when entering the room-- basic rapport establishment. That said, he did eventually warm up and relax. I don't fault his medical expertise (though a bit iconoclastic). He did afford me plenty of time to ask questions and get clarity.

Dr. Mangelson takes the time to not only explain the state of my health but provides a history of treatment for my particular health issue. Dr. Mangelson's long history of practice of medicine allows him a perspective on treatment and what is best for my situation. The said, I have great confidence in his advice. Dr. Mangelson is personable with a great "bedside manner". i couldn't be happier to have Dr. Mangelson on my "team".
