Michael R. Acord, MD

Dr. Michael Acord is a pediatric radiologist at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. He supports patients and families in Salt Lake City and surrounding communities. Dr. Acord is trained in all areas of IR and has specific interests in liver and biliary interventions and minimally invasive procedures for pediatric cancer patients.

Dr. Acord received his medical education at Georgetown University, followed by a radiology residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, where he served as Chief Resident. He completed fellowships in pediatric diagnostic and interventional radiology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania. He is an active SIR, SPR, COG, and SPIR member, serving on multiple societal IR sub-committees. Dr. Acord has received many accolades, including "Teacher of the Year" twice for his educational contributions.
