About Michael P. Woodbury
About The Provider
Born and raised in a small town in Nebraska, Dr. Michael Woodbury began his education at the University of Nebraska, where he earned biological sciences and psychology degrees. He graduated with honors from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona, with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Woodbury fulfilled a traditional rotating internship at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan, through Michigan State University. He then completed an orthopedic residency at the same institution, where he was Chief Resident. Finally, he finished a fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction and hip arthroscopy at Desert Orthopedic Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Board-certified, Dr. Woodbury provides total care from knee and hip arthroscopy to complex revision of prior hip and knee replacements with a focus on minimally invasive surgery while utilizing the most recent technological advances.
“I have always tried to approach every patient with an understanding of their concerns and best treatment options. Sometimes, these are clear, and others are much more complex. Regardless of the treatment, I try to approach the patient as I would a family member.”
Married for more than 20 years, Dr. Woodbury and his wife are the proud parents of two boys and one daughter. He enjoys cycling, running, football, and Colorado’s great outdoors.

Dr Woodbury is very detailed in his explanation of the upcoming procedure and understanding regarding my trepidation regarding the procedure as well as supportive of everything I already tried and that this is good next step. He also reviewed post surgical expectations with physical therapy and things I would need to be doing for best outcomes which I appreciate.

When Dr. Woodbury performed my revision surgery in 2024 it was after hours, beginning the 4 hour surgery at 6pm. I appreciate that he did not delay my surgery to the following day but was willing to begin at a later hour.
